Our Mission: We are committed to advocating for and supporting non-traditional students and alternative education programs, in order to impact them in a positive manner.

Our Purpose:  We are a membership-based organization dedicated to exemplary standards and practices, professional development, knowledge sharing,  public policy development, and advocacy aimed at advancing alternative and nontraditional education within the state of Ohio.

We fulfill our purpose through the following activities:

• Provide a current set of researched-based exemplary practices and standards.
• Provide fellowship and membership for professionals who work on behalf of students receiving alternative and nontraditional educational programming.
• Provide a platform for professional development via conferences and other relevant training opportunities.
• Share relevant information with our membership.
• Provide strategy recommendations related to best practices for alternative education with interested stakeholders.
• Provide student-centered advocacy for programs, professionals working in the field, and for students receiving our educational services.
